Thank you for sharing, but please remember perfect is only found in a dictionary.Your Dad will always be my idol, love him
last official at bat not November
Thanks for the correction! It has been corrected.
I coached gymnastics with Marla Mantle, many years ago & Mickey would come up with his son on Friday nights and help us clean up. Honestly, I didn’t realize who he was for a good month.. I was only 20 yrs old at the time. And then I put his name and her last name together. And I finally said “are you, you know?? “ he said, “yes I am and we had a good laugh”
Such a nice man!!
last home run not October in 1968; Yanks did not make Series that year.
Has been corrected. Thanks!
If Willie Mays had not hit that long fly to slightly right center field in the 1951 world series ,Mickey might have reached the 800 home run plateau.
If Joe D had called Mickey off sooner, giving him more time to stop…or if drain cover had not been left exposed…
I was born in 1951 and was named Mickey after #7. Always been my idol. Love the man and the legend.
