In June, I flew with him to New York so he could finally meet his daddy. My sister, Pat was with us. Mick was waiting at the airport with Billy Martin.
I handed him little Mick and he didn’t say a word. He had an expression on his face that was close to awe. He cradled him in his arms and looked at him. He just kept looking at him. There was something else in his eyes, a question. I always thought he was wondering, “Am I ready for this? Am I ready to be a father?”[/fusion_testimonial][/fusion_testimonials]

I believe that my mother and Meryln shared a room in Freeman Hospital, Joplin, Mo while both I and Mickey Jr. were born. Is this possible? I was born April 9, 1953 at Freeman and Mickey Jr., three days later. Just what I have been told…not sure if Mickey Jr. was actually born at Freeman. There are or were two hospitals in Joplin at that time.
